After the December, 2013 ground breaking press conference, Matterhorn PR was again engaged to take care of all media and public relations activities for both the casino’s ribbon cutting ceremony (April 1, 2015) and the opening day for the horse racing track (April 25, 2015). April 20, 2015 MEDIA ADVISORY
Century Downs Racetrack and Casino, North Calgary, Alberta CALGARY, Alberta, April 20, 2015 – United Horsemen of Alberta and Century Casinos are pleased to announce the first day of horse racing in Calgary since 2008.
Interested members of the media are invited to the press event at Century Downs Racetrack and Casino on April 25, 2015 at 08:30 AM at 261095 Dwight McLellan Trail, Rocky View County, AB T4A 0V5 (located just east of CrossIron Mills). On April 25, 2015, at 2 PM, the first horses and drivers will leave the starting gate and will cross the finish line for the first time. Most harness races finish in about two minutes but such a sight has been an eight-year wait for many Albertans.
